I would say that, YES, this one is just as bad with what can go wrong. I refer to it not as a Barking Dog demo, but as the Whoosh Bottle demo. I do not nor
ever would I do it as described in either one of the links you have given. See an example of one of many things that can go wrong here and you will understand:

of my safety precautions in such a setting.

Just a quick yes or no, please. Would you lump the "Safe Barking Dog Demo" in the same category as the Rainbow Demo & Tornado Demo (i.e., it is an open flame demo, where additional flammable fuel -- let's say 95% ethanol -- could be added
to an already confined ignited situation, therefore it is not prudent to perform, especially at a local grade school). We are having a discussion about it.
