Just put the arrestor in a section of the duct that is designed to be able to be removed and replaced.
I think that it's worth mentioning that I've had experience with properly vented flammable cabinets that the flame arrestors corroded and gummed up within about 5 years of installation and significantly reduced air flow through the hood..
