Subject: Length of aisles between islands
Our facilities manager for our College of Medicine labs asked me this question, which I thought DCHAS-L might have some helpful input on: Does anyone know of a "regulation" which would require limiting the length of a lab peninsula (meaning the lab benches create only one means of egress from the enclosed area) to require an island station above that length? While such a rule makes sense, I am unable to find any supporting information. Thanks for your assistance. Thanks for any information. - Ralph Ralph Stuart, CIH Secretary, ACS Division of Chemical Health and Safety Environmental Safety Facility 667 Spear St. Burlington, VT 05405 rstuart**At_Symbol_Here**uvm.edu
